[WARNING: THE FOLLOWING STORY CONTAINS BIG "STAR WARS: LAST JEDI" SPOILERS]

As fans prepare to flock to the theaters for the release of the latest installment of the “Star Wars” film series: “The Last Jedi,” one of the film's stars revealed a big spoiler.

The cast of the highly-anticipated Disney-produced film have remained tight-lipped about what fans can expect to see in the new “Last Jedi” film, but during a Wednesday interview with ITV’s "This Morning," John Boyega revealed one a huge spoiler.

"This Morning's" hosts, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, carried out a live stream video interview with Boyega, asking the star questions about the film, but Willoughby—who had apparently seen an advance screening of the film— accidentally said [SPOILER ALERT], "Fans will be very excited because Yoda is back!"

Clearly shocked by Willoughby’s mention of the film spoiler, a frozen Boyega looked around nervously, clearly trying to think of the best way to quickly fix the accidental spoiler slip situation.

"Holly! Holly. I mean...You can't tell the fans exactly what happens," he said.

Willoughby then realized what she had had done and attempted to backtrack her statement and said, "I don't know what happens! That is out there?"

What Willoughby had thought was already common knowledge was in fact not. The accidental mention of that detail had not been “out there” until now.

And it didn’t take long for fans react to the "This Morning" spoiler slip. Several people took to Twitter to express their frustration with the "This Morning" interview.

"I very rarely watch #ThisMorning the one occassion [sic] it's on and Holly drops a HUGE(!) #StarWarsTheLastJedi spoiler!!," one user wrote.

"Omg Holly giving away a pretty big #starWars spoiler on #ThisMorning... absolutely hilarious. John Boyega looking to his people for help killed me..."

Already figuring that the damage had been done, Boyega said, "You know what, things happen. Get your ticket! Get your ticket!"

Both show hosts worked hard to try and redeem themselves after revealing the spoiler. Schofield tried to defend his co-host and said, “Maybe Yoda isn’t back?”

“Yes, I don’t know!” Willoughby added and then went on to say that she didn’t mean what she said about Yoda coming back and that she was actually trying to hint at something else.

While "This Morning" did let this major spoiler drop, there are still plenty of unknowns about the land far, far away left in the film that have yet to be revealed.

“Stars Wars: The Last Jedi” hits theaters on Friday.
