'Terminator: Dark Fate' scenes in Mexico were filmed in Spain due to concerns of cartel violence

“Terminator: Dark Fate” is sure to feature many action-packed sequences, but not all of them could be filmed on site according to director Tim Miller. In an interview with Mexican publication Excelsior, Miller mentioned that the “Dark Fate” production team actually filmed the Mexico scenes in Spain, mainly due to fears of violence alongside budget issues.
