Energizer Bernie! A Dozen Campaign Rallies In Four Days; Hillary Two
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is leaning heavily on surrogates to pull her across the finish line on election day.
Few of her A-list team are as energetic as Sen. Bernie Sanders, who has scheduled a flurry of rallies for Hillary in important swing states.
On Thursday, Sanders has four rallies scheduled in Michigan — visiting Dearborn,Ann Arbor, East Lansing, and Grand Rapids. On Friday, he has twomore rallies scheduled in New Hampshire and one rally in Maine — seven rallies in just two days.
All told, Sanders has scheduled dozen campaign events in only four days. Clinton’s last campaign events were a pair of rallies Harrisburg and Haverford Pennsylvania earlier in the week.
Clinton hasn’t returned to the campaign trail since, as campaign aides have been trickling out information about her whereabouts to reporters.
Clinton didn’t even speak with her running mate Tim Kaine on the night of his debate performance on Tuesday evening, according to aides.
Later, Clinton staffers insisted to reporters that Hillary sent Kaine an email and eventually called him just before noon the following day.
According to reporters, the Clinton aide described as a phone call as a “love fest.”
Clinton has no campaign rallies on her schedule, according to multiplereporters, although she has a fundraiser planned in Washington D.C. on Wednesday with Eva Longoria. She is expected to continue preparations at her home in Washington D.C. ahead of Sunday’s debate with her rival Donald Trump.
